Tertius De Wit
Director/Accountable Manager
Mr. T De Wit is the sole director of TDW Aviation Surveyors. The organization handles the process of lease returned aircraft from operators to the owner as well as transferring aircraft to other operators on behalf of the owners of which continuing airworthiness assessments form a great deal of the work scope.
The Director/Accountable Manager has the overall responsibility for meeting requirements stipulated by the customer. He is responsible for ensuring that all continued airworthiness activities and maintenance activities can be financed and are carried out to the standard required by the customer and the Regulatory Authority, therefore he is responsible for ensuring that adequate contractual arrangements exist.
This includes, but not limited to, provision of: facilities, material and tools, sufficient competent and qualified personnel in relation to the work to be undertaken. All of this with a view to ensuring that all activities is performed on time and in accordance with the applicable requirements, regulations and approved standards set out by the OEM, Regulatory Authority and the customer.
The general management of customers during lease returns and delivery of aircraft to operators as well as liaising with customers whilst fulfilling certain tasks for continuing airworthiness.

Aviation Surveyor
Currently having four years’ experience with TDW Aviation Surveyors comprising the fields of Mid Lease Inspections, Pre-Purchase Inspections and aircraft redelivery. Creation of Inspection Reports and Technical Evaluation Surveys. On-going maintenance record verification of maintenance activities inclusive of approval of component records for component changes.
This is comprised of Maintenance and Regulatory document retrieval from Operators, verification, and scrutiny of records prior to acceptance. Uploading of Maintenance Records to client Data Repository system in accordance to individual client requirements.
TDW Data base structuring including creation of folders required for Client Maintenance records in accordance with clients naming convention requirements, while conforming to the TDW Standard of record keeping.
Previous airline experience of 47 years in the field of Maintenance, Engineering, Material Planning, Procurement, Technical Marketing and Technical Information inclusive of the Post Holder Position of Responsible Person Aircraft as approved by the SACAA Regulatory Authority.

Benson Gathiaka
Technical Representative
He has over 15 year’s aviation experience in Airline Engineering and Maintenance. He has vast and in-depth knowledge in aircraft lease inspections, aircraft delivery/ redelivery projects, aircraft modifications, regulatory documents evaluation and embodiment, development of aircraft maintenance programs, technical records, reliability engineering, new aircraft entry to service readiness, software configuration management and development of maintenance operational processes and procedures.
Prior to joining TDW Aviation Surveyors, Benson has held various Avionics engineering positions for Kenya Airways Plc and Air Peace Limited.
He has over 15 year’s aviation experience in Airline Engineering and Maintenance. He has vast and in-depth knowledge in aircraft lease inspections, aircraft delivery/ redelivery projects, aircraft modifications, regulatory documents evaluation and embodiment, development of aircraft maintenance programs, technical records, reliability engineering, new aircraft entry to service readiness, software configuration management and development of maintenance operational processes and procedures.

Technical Representative
Samson is an aircraft engineer with 10 years’ experience in continuing airworthiness management technical. He has a far-reaching knowledge in Aircraft lease inspections and end of lease transitions, continuing airworthiness management, design organization approvals and maintenance quality control.
Samson has worked for various airlines in the Middle East and Africa region including Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways.
Samson is an aircraft engineer with 10 years’ experience in continuing airworthiness management technical. He has a far-reaching knowledge in Aircraft lease inspections and end of lease transitions, continuing airworthiness management, design organization approvals and maintenance quality control.
Samson has worked for various airlines in the Middle East and Africa region including Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways.

Technical Representative
13 years Military fixed/rotary wing experience and 27 years in the Airline Maintenance Engineering and Bizjet Sectors (Turboprop/Turbofan Airframes, engines/Components/Accessories).
Extensive knowledge in Aircraft Lease Inspections (periodic Asset Health Monitoring), Pre-Purchase Inspections, Aircraft Delivery and Redelivery Inspections, Aircraft Document Auditing, Document Evaluation for Regulatory requirements. Engine and Landing Gear Management and New Aircraft Type Introduction, STC Installation and Evaluation Projects. MOE, MPM, MCM and Regulatory Documents, Processes and Procedures. Insurance related Inspections and Claims/ Management.
